East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) selects Seccua products for use in new recreation facility

Oakhurst, CA – The East Bay Municipal Utility District has selected Seccua’s Phoenix 40 ultrafiltration systems for its new Camanche Recreation Center at the Camanche reservoir located in the Sierra foothills southeast of Sacramento. The two Phoenix™ 40 systems will treat up to 500,000 gallons per day of raw water taken from the Camanche Reservoir and the Mokelumne Aqueduct to meet California’s stringent drinking water standards. The systems will be located at the Camanche South Shore Recreation area, South Shore Water treatment Plant.

"We are delighted that following a competitive bid process that EBMUD selected our Phoenix Ultrafiltration Systems for this important upgrade to their water treatment system" said Scott Jackson, CEO of Seccua Americas LLC. "Our standard pre-engineered, factory assembled and fully automatic controlled system equipment fully complied with the Districts stringent specifications that provided us with a competitive advantage over competing bids," added Jackson. Seccua teamed with Pacific Aqua Technologies, Inc. for the bid. PAT will supply the Seccua system equipment to the District as well as control systems, installation and commissioning services. Based in Santa Fe Springs, California with offices in Florida, New York, Bahamas and China, PAT specializes in the design, manufacture and installation of large capacity membrane systems serving municipal public water drinking markets globally. "We are extremely pleased," said Hany Said, CEO of PAT, "to be partnered with Seccua Americas for this important infrastructure project for one of the major utilities in California." "The Seccua system equipment was an ideal fit to meet the stringent specifications issued by the District and we look forward to continuing to work with Seccua on other surface water treatment projects," continued Said. The equipment will be delivered during the 4th quarter and is on track to be fully operational and in continuous service by early in 2016.
